OUR PASSION
Our Mission and Vision
At Social Living Solutions, our mission is to empower neurodiverse individuals by providing comprehensive support that fosters independence and growth.
We envision a world where people with Autism, ADHD and other neurodiversity are accepted, integrated, and recognised as valued members of society. We contribute to building this vision through our work and advocacy.
We work with individuals, schools, and workplaces to remove misconceptions around neurodiversity and create compassionate understanding.
We are constantly working towards a world where children, teens, and young adults navigating neurodiversity are fully supported and integrated into their communities, achieving their fullest potential.
OUR FOUNDER
Meet Patricia Falcetta OAM
Patricia’s journey into neurodiversity advocacy began with the diagnosis of a loved one more than a decade ago,
Patricia’s passionate advocacy for the neurodivergent community began with the diagnosis of a loved one, a time when support systems were limited. There was no NDIS, school support programs, or speakers teaching about neurodiversity.
So, Patricia took it upon herself to move the needle.
She immersed herself in professional and personal development to better support and coach her loved one in navigating the neurotypical education system. Recognising there was a significant number of others in similar situations, Patricia founded Social Living Solutions.
While serving as the Founder and Director of Social Living Solutions, coaching neurodivergent teens and families, Patricia received her own diagnosis of ADHD. This revelation deepened her understanding and empathy, providing a personal connection to the challenges faced by those she supported.
Since then, her mission has evolved beyond helping neurodivergent individuals ‘fit in.’
With a passionate belief that conformity hinders the potential of individuals, Patricia embarked on a campaign of education. Through her role as a speaker, workplace trainer, and facilitator, she aims to demonstrate the richness that diversity brings and advocates for simple accommodations to enhance accessibility for neurodivergent members of society.
Her contributions have garnered recognition, including the prestigious Order of Australia Medal for outstanding achievement and service to the community in 2023, and the Iconic Women Award by the Women’s Economic Forum (2020).
Patricia continues to be committed to creating an accessible society that truly values its neurodivergent members.
