Individual Support

Our unique neurodiverse individuals develop skills at different rates and times in life and sometimes this development curve is challenging.
Our 1:1 targeted and personalised support plans may be exactly what your child and family needs.

What’s included in a plan?

Our individually developed plans are completely personalised and designed in collaboration with you, to meet your unique needs.

Plans may include one session or a series of regular sessions to support your goals and needs.

Below is an overview of some of the skills development we can support you with.
As each program is developed specifically for you and your family, please book a call to discuss your needs; categorised into social skills and life skills.

We offer a specific schools transition program. This is for inter school moves or transitions from primary to secondary, secondary to college and college to university.

Individual support programs for adults are also available. Please book a call with our Founder Patricia Falcetta, to discuss what that could cover for you.

Social Skills

Neurodiversity at any age can make it difficult to function socially in a world built by and for a neurotypical brain.

When we focus on social skills we support and coach your child to better understand and cope with the social nuances and typical pressures and expectations of our current societal “norms”.

Core skills we focus on developing can include:

REFLECTIVE LISTENING

The keys to being a good listener, not interrupting when others are talking, and appearing interested (even when you are not!)

EMOTION REGULATION AND CONTROL

We work on strategies for temper control and context appropriate expression of emotions.

TACT & UNDERSTANDING

Exploring the nuances of this concept in the neurotypical world.

LITERAL THINKING

Understanding what literal thinking is, examining unhelpful thinking, and working towards being more flexible and aware in how your thinking affects you

FLEXIBLE THINKING

Why being a flexible thinker is so important for good social. interactions, and how to develop useful skills for interacting with peers, teachers, coaches and others at school and in social settings

Our Social Skills Goal is to empower your child with new skills to help successfully navigate social situations and everyday life without stress or anxiety.

Life Skills

Help your child gain confidence in how to engage in day-to-day life, and the challenges it delivers.

Core skills we focus on developing can include:

MANAGING A BUDGET

Understanding financial transactions as well as creating and managing a budget

FOOD/MEAL PLANNING

The importance of meal planning to ensure healthy eating habits and understanding how to budget for food

GOOD HYGIENE

Why good personal hygiene is so important, including cleanliness and food preparation

MANAGING TRANSPORT

The importance of arriving on time for appointments and social meetings as well as how to read public transport timetables and understand the concept of time

INTERACTING WITH PEOPLE

Purchasing items in a shop, going to the movies, going to restaurants, and being able to order food for yourself and others. This is usually the final session and includes a review of all previous topics in the context of interacting effectively with others in your immediate community

Our Life Skills Goal is for your child to feel more confident in daily life situations and moving about in society.
